Paying with printing credit

How your printing credit, or your team's, pays for printing.

Overview

If you have printing credit, for example from your plan, a bundle you bought or credit added by your space, it pays for your printing first. You see your balance before you confirm.

What you see before you print

Before you confirm, the page shows:

  • Your printing credit: how much you have. If your team shares credit, it shows how much is yours and how much is the team's.
  • Paid from your credit: how much this print takes from it.
  • On your Nexudus invoice: what's left to pay, if anything.
  • Credit left after this: your balance once it has printed.

If your credit pays for everything, the button says paid by credit and nothing goes on your invoice.

How your credit is used

  • After printing. Credit is used only after the printer finishes, and only for the pages it printed.
  • Whole pages. A page is covered only if you have enough credit for the whole page. A page your credit only partly covers is paid for in full on your invoice.
  • Colour first. Credit covers colour pages before black & white pages.
  • Yours first. Your own credit is used before credit your team shares.
  • Soonest to expire first. Credit that runs out soonest is used first.
  • This space only. Only credit that is valid at this space counts.
  • The rest is added to your next Nexudus invoice. If your credit covers the whole job, nothing is added.

Team credit

If you are in a team that shares credit, your own printing credit is used first. When it runs out, the credit your team shares is used. The print page shows how much is yours and how much is your team's.

Never charged

Failed, cancelled and never-released jobs use no credit.

Troubleshooting

Problem What to do
Your credit isn't offered Your space may not have set it up, you may have none valid at this space, or it has expired. Ask the front desk
Credit doesn't cover a page You may have too little left for a whole page. The page goes on your invoice
You think credit was taken twice Tell the front desk. They can check and correct it
