Printing from your phone or computer

Print a PDF, photo or Office file from your phone or computer and see the price before you pay.

Overview

You can print from your phone, laptop or desktop computer without installing anything. You see every page and the price before anything prints.

  1. On a phone: scan the QR code on the printer. On a computer: open the print link your space gave you, or the bookmark you saved. You don't need a QR code on a computer. The printer is already chosen if you used the printer's code or link. Otherwise, pick it from the list.
  2. Sign in with the email and password you use for the Members Portal. (If you opened the link from the Portal or Passport, you may be signed in already.)
  3. Choose your file. You see small pictures of every page. Pages that will print in colour are marked.
  4. Choose copies, paper size, colour or black & white, and one or two sides.
  5. Check the price and confirm.
  6. Depending on the printer, it prints now, or it waits until you tap Print now. See Releasing your print at the printer.

The price is held for 15 minutes. After that, ask for the price again.

Printing from a program's Print menu

There is no printer driver to install, so the Print menu in Word, Excel or your browser can't send a job to this printer. Instead, save or export the document (a PDF is best), then choose that file on the print page.

What you can print

File Notes
PDF Printed as it is
Photos (JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF, BMP) One photo per page, fitted to the paper
Word, Excel, PowerPoint, OpenDocument, RTF, text Only if your space has set this up. Otherwise, save the file as PDF first

Note

Photos from an iPhone work when you pick them from Photos. A HEIC file chosen from Files is refused with a message asking for a JPG.

You can also email a document to print.

What you pay

You pay only after the printer has finished, and only for the pages it printed. See What you're charged and when and Paying with printing credit.

Your recent prints are listed on the page.
